Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

By engaging KT Tax Accountants, you agree to be bound by these terms. Our services are designed to help individuals and small businesses manage their tax and bookkeeping needs in a virtual, secure, and compliant environment.

2. Scope of Services

We provide tax preparation, bookkeeping, IRS representation, and advisory services. Engagement letters outline the scope and pricing of each service. Work begins only after receipt of a signed engagement letter and payment (per terms stated).

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients must provide accurate and complete documentation. KT Tax Accountants is not responsible for errors or penalties due to incomplete, false, or untimely information provided by the client.

4. Payment Terms

Most services require a deposit of 50% upfront. Bookkeeping services are billed monthly and due before the 1st of each month. Services may be paused or canceled for missed payments. No refunds for work already performed.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

We require a 14-day notice for cancellation of ongoing services. Refunds are limited to unused services only and must be requested in writing. For tax prep or cleanup work, no refunds once work has started.

6. Privacy and Data Use

Your information is protected under IRS Section 7216. We do not share or transmit your tax data outside the U.S. without your consent. By signing our engagement letters, you consent to necessary third-party software integrations that comply with IRS privacy standards.

7. Disclaimer of Liability

We do not guarantee tax outcomes or refund amounts. KT Tax Accountants is not responsible for penalties, interest, or legal consequences arising from client-provided data or filing delays.

8. Communication

All official communication will be via email or secure client portals. KT Tax Accountants is not liable for miscommunication or delays caused by unmonitored client email accounts or spam filters.

9. Jurisdiction

Our services are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of Massachusetts. By using our services, you agree to resolve any disputes in this jurisdiction.

10. Updates

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
